Type it (that's Quick Add), forward an email (that's Email to Calendar), snap a photo, or add it the traditional way. However it gets in, everyone sees it.
3. Everyone stays in sync
No more "did you know Teddy has football moved to Thursday?" Whoever added it, everyone sees it, straight away.
See it your way
Switch between Month, 3 Day, and Day views depending on how much detail you need. Zoomed out for planning the month ahead, zoomed in for today's actual timings. On tablet and desktop, month view shows you event titles and times right in the grid. On your phone, a quick tap on any day opens it up into a full list you can scroll through.
Every event type gets its own colour and icon, so a glance at the week tells you what's coming without having to read every word: sport, school, appointments, parties, playdates, and more, all visually distinct. Multi-day events, like half-term or a family trip, show as one continuous bar across the days they span, not a confusing repeat entry on every single day.

Family birthdays and the birthdays you've added for friends and wider family show up right on the calendar alongside everything else, no separate list to remember to check. UK public holidays appear automatically too, so half-terms and bank holidays are never a surprise.

Get a personal calendar link and subscribe to it from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook, whichever you already use day to day. Everything you add in Maxie shows up there too, refreshed every few hours, so your phone's calendar app can stay close to as up to date as Maxie is.

That subscribe link is one-way, from Maxie out to your phone's calendar app, refreshed every few hours rather than instantly. If you're hoping to edit directly in Google Calendar and have it flow back into Maxie, it won't, add and edit events in Maxie itself and let the link carry them out. And right now, everyone you invite sees the whole shared family calendar rather than a permissioned slice of it, so it suits a household happy to share the full picture rather than one that needs to hide certain events from certain people.
